Terms of Use
Effective August 28, 2026
These terms are the end-user licence agreement for Dhor, a Quran revision app operated by KAHK Group ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Dhor, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
1. The service
Dhor helps Huffadh keep their memorization strong: it pairs reciters with listeners for live audio revision sessions, tracks mistakes and progress, and supports goals, streaks, and revision circles. Dhor is currently in beta — features may change, and occasional interruptions are part of the deal while we build.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Dhor.
- Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials to yourself. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- One account per person. If you lose access, contact salam@dhor.app.
3. Community conduct — zero tolerance
Dhor connects you with real people for a purpose rooted in worship, and it carries user-generated content: circle chat messages, display names, and live recitation audio. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. You agree not to post, send, or transmit content that is:
- Harassing, threatening, bullying, or hateful — including slurs or abuse directed at anyone's religion, ethnicity, gender, or nationality.
- Sexually explicit, obscene, violent, or otherwise objectionable.
- Impersonating another person, misrepresenting the Quranic text, or promoting anything unlawful.
- Spam, solicitation, or off-topic use of sessions and circles.
You also agree to treat revision partners with respect and patience — including in how you mark mistakes — and never to record or share another user's recitation outside the app without their consent.
How we enforce this. Every message can be reported from inside the app, and any member can be blocked: a block hides that person's content from you immediately, stops them contacting you, and notifies our team. We review reports and blocks, remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend or permanently terminate accounts that post objectionable content or abuse other users. You can also report behaviour by email to salam@dhor.app.
4. Free use
- Dhor is free. Every feature is available to every user at no cost, with nothing locked behind a payment.
- The app contains no purchases, no subscriptions and no paid tiers, and it does not sell access to any content or feature anywhere else.
5. Sessions and recordings
Live sessions transmit your voice to your revision partner. Sessions may be recorded so participants can review their recitation; by joining a session you consent to this. Recordings belong to the session's participants — you may not share another person's recitation without their permission.
6. Content and ownership
The app, its design, and its software are ours. The Quran is the speech of Allah; mushaf layouts and Quranic data come from their respective sources. You retain rights to your own recitations and grant us the limited license needed to store, transmit, and process them to provide the service — nothing more.
7. Acceptable use
Don't attempt to break, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service; don't use it to violate any law; don't use another user's account.
8. Disclaimers
Dhor is provided "as is." Mistake marking is done by fellow users and by software assistance — it may be imperfect, and Dhor is a revision companion, not a substitute for a qualified teacher. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KAHK Group is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Dhor, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
10. Termination
You can stop using Dhor and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections 6–9 survive termination.
11. Changes
We may update these terms as Dhor evolves. For material changes we'll update the date above and notify you in the app or by email; continued use after changes means you accept them.
